Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Debbie Afro Foods, we prioritize the quality and safety of your groceries. Our delivery model is designed to ensure you receive the freshest products at the best value. As we have expanded our capacity to meet your needs, we now offer regular, flexible delivery options for all items in our store.

Our Delivery Tracks

  • To maintain maximum freshness and ensure your items arrive when you need them, we follow a strict dispatch schedule:

  • Next-Day Delivery: Orders placed Monday to Wednesday between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM qualify for next-day delivery.

  • Standard Dispatch (2-Day): Orders placed Monday to Wednesday after 1:00 PM will be processed for delivery within 2 working days.

  • Freshness Guarantee: We no longer require you to wait until the end of the month; we source and ship items regularly to ensure peak freshness.

  • Weekend Policy: Orders placed from Thursday to Sunday will be dispatched the following Monday to prevent fresh items from sitting in courier warehouses over the weekend.

  • Mixed Orders: All items in your cart (Pantry and Fresh) will be packed and shipped together in a single delivery.

Delivery Zones & Rates

  • Local Community Delivery (£10 Flat Rate): We provide a dedicated local delivery service for a flat fee of £10 for all orders within our designated 10km Southampton zone.

  • UK Nationwide Shipping: For customers outside our local zone, shipping is calculated by weight at checkout via Easyship, providing you with real-time accurate rates and discounted courier options.

  • International Shipping: We ship non-perishable goods globally. Rates and timelines are calculated at the point of purchase based on destination and weight.

Perishable & Frozen Goods Handling

  • The safety of our meat, poultry, and fish is our top priority.

  • Insulated Packaging: All frozen and fresh items are packed in high-grade thermal insulation with industrial-strength ice packs to maintain the "Cold Chain."

  • Dispatch Strategy: To ensure items do not sit in courier warehouses over weekends, we primarily dispatch fresh items from Monday to Thursday.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Address Accuracy: Please ensure your delivery address is correct. We are not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect information.

  • Availability: Since many of our products are perishable, it is essential that someone is available to receive the delivery on the first attempt.

  • Spoilage: Debbie Afro Foods is not liable for spoilage due to missed delivery attempts or items held at courier depots.

Damaged or Missing Items

Please inspect your contents immediately upon arrival.

  • Reporting: In the rare event of a damaged or missing item, contact us at debbieafrofoods@hotmail.com within 24 hours.

  • Evidence: Provide your order number and clear photographs of the packaging and affected products for a swift resolution.
